09: Seeking and Snitching

“In free sparring, we learn to employ the principle of maximum effiency, even when we could easily overpower our opponent.” Kano Jigoro, founder of Judo.

In order to practice something for live play, having an opponent you can test yourself against is important. To that end, training players to snitch is therefore important in order to train your players to seek effectively. Spending valuable time training your players to snitch helps your team get better at seeking, in addition to helping the community with being able to provide more snitches at tournaments.

The physicality of snitching comes from the ground up, and some of the footwork and handwork of snitching and seeking is also covered. The physics and anatomy of movement, speed and power are briefly covered as well.
